| Bio: |  Full Name: Charity Amelia Burbage Nicknames: Char Date of Birth: September 23rd, 1965. Age: 30 Years Old House and Year: Ravenclaw Alumnus, 1982. Wand: Holly and Unicorn Hair, 11". Springy. Bloodline: Halfblood. Sexual Orientation/Marital Status: Heterosexual, and Single. Occupation: Professor of Muggle Studies at Hogwarts. Appearance: Charity is on the shorter side, standing at 5' 4". She has a athletic build; from years of dancing in her youth-- her figure is rather petite. Naturally, she has medium-length dark hair that comes across either black or chocolate brown depending on the light. Though she has been known to dye it blonde. She has very pale features, and blue eyes. At Hogwarts, Charity is normally seen wearing moderately price robes of darker colors, but on her off time she wears mostly muggle clothing. PB: Natalie Dormer  History: Charity Burbage was on September 16th to Kristi and William Burbage in muggle London. Her mother, Kristi was a witch who worked in the Department of International Magical Cooperation and her father was a muggle police officer. When William and Kristi met they had four dates before she broke the news, and it surprisingly never bothered William. The family was only too thrilled when their own child, Charity, showed magical capabilities as well. Growing up in the Burbage family was uneventful, and rather blissful. They had a small flat in London, and spent summers camping. However, it changed when Charity's Father was killed in the line of duty when she was nine years old. Her Mother was very withdrawn afterwards and dated a few times but nothing ever became of it. Kristi spent her time working to deal with her own emotions, and Charity started spending a great deal of time with her muggle grandparents, who lived around the block. It was during that time that she started to take a fascination in muggle things-- Magic was common place, she had seen it every day from her mother. But muggle things were interesting, her Grandfather would spend hours showing things to her. When she was eleven she went to Hogwarts, and was sorted into Ravenclaw. She was not overly popular, and though she had a few close friends. She did excel academically, and she was made a Prefect in her fifth year. She was rather thin skinned to the talk of blood purity and the war that had ended dramatically in the fall of the Dark Lord while she was at Hogwarts. For quite a long time in her life she would go out of her way to avoid talk of her heritage and as soon as she graduated Hogwarts, she went on to Muggle College. She fit in better there, but didn't like living without magic. When she graduated with a degree in Sociology, she decided to return to the Wizarding World. Upon her return, she became vocal about muggleborns and halfbloods rights and even got published in the Daily Prophet, as well as other respective wizarding newspapers and magazines. It was her outspokenness that led Albus Dumbledore to contact her about the opening of the Muggle Studies course, and her return to Hogwarts. Personality: Charity is not shy, and not afraid to speak her mind. She can get quite a temper when provoked but she also considers herself an academic and won't act unprofessionally in a professional setting. She's more than willing to speak and debate with anyone, but she's also aware that she cannot change anyone’s mind that is set in their way, she simply seeks to educate. She often stated that had she been of age she would've joined the Order of Phoenix without a second thought. Though she can be rough around the edges, Charity is a sweet girl and will often go out of her way to help someone. She thoroughly enjoys teaching, and can't imagine herself doing anything else-- she enjoys seeing her students triumphant. She's very family orientated, and speaks with her Mother and her Grandparents at least once every three days. They are her weakness; she's constantly terrified that something is going to happen to them after the death of her father.  Charity is an academic, though she teaches at Hogwarts she's also working on a Masters in Sociology through a muggle university. Though outspoken and extroverted, she finds it hard to connect with people-- having matured at a very young age-- and often finds her solace in books of any kind rather than people. She does like to people-watch, though-- as a sociologist she finds the activity of the students at Hogwarts rather interesting. She feels that her purpose in life is to educate, and to use her own experiences to help other people. She feels that there's no such things as 'too much education' and is always trying to learn a little bit about everything. She does have a soft spot for people, and is more than willing to lend a shoulder or an ear for anyone in trouble. As an extrovert, she loves to have a good time and laugh. But she also knows when it's time to buckle down and get things done. Strengths and Weaknesses: Charity knows a little bit about everything, muggle or wizard, and it does help her relate to people. Many people under estimate her, thinking that she's not a powerful witch because she's teaching muggle studies-- but she is a force to be reckoned with. She's quick witted, and able to recall things at the drop of a hat. She's a bit rough around the edges and sometimes prone to be with-drawn and something of an 'ice queen'. She can be quick angered if she feels she's being underestimated, and sometimes she has jumped down people’s throats because she thought she was being insulted when she wasn't. In short, sometimes she a hard time picking up social cues and reading people. Sometimes her opinions are slightly overbearing. Habits\Quirks: Charity is a compulsive list keeper; she has lists everywhere in her apartments and in her office. When upset about something, she's prone to write it out, escape to muggle London to visit her family, or go to the dance studio. Friends and Enemies: Charity is social able with-in the staff at Hogwarts, but most of her friends are the girls she graduated from college with-- though she can't always be completely open with them about her life and career. She has a few friends at the Daily Prophet, and the Ministry of Magic, as well. Her enemies are Death Eaters, Anti-Muggle Purebloods and the Dark Lord. Likes\Dislikes: Likes: Cats, Tea, Books, Order, Muggle Electronics, Family, Halloween and Sociology Dislikes: The Death Eaters, The Dark Lord, being unorganized, socially awkward situations, and being insulted about her heritage.
